A diary entry by me, written in... the future?

So remember last blog I told you about those writing prompts? If you don't, you should probably go read that here; anyways, one of the prompts asked me to write a diary entry, dated 10 years in the future, and I thought "wow, what a perfect blog idea!"

March 7, 2028.

Good afternoon, having just returned from a most relaxing trip to my vacation house in the Bahamas, I realized that I have failed to write in my diary in a while so here I am.

My newest book, I am proud to say, is yet another massive success with the public; my third best-seller to date. It has earned enough to buy my son the newest VR gaming system for his birthday as well as paying our bills and feeding us for years to come.

I still look back sometimes to my past self and I think, man, what a genius I was.
I often wonder why it took me so long to become a millionaire, I had the talent, the looks and obviously the dashing personality.
And best of all, I was and still am so very VERY humble; what a man.
