"Oh my gosh! Yonah is soooo cool, how does he do it?"
I'm here to tell you how, well... I'm not going to tell you exactly how I do it because then we'd have a bunch of B-times and R-times and Ya'll wouldn't even try! But I'll give you a boost, here are three things that give me massive boosts toward my goals.
1.Fast paced music.
Ok, don't get me wrong here.
When I'm writing, I love me some slow, classical music, like Yiruma or Mozart.
But when I'm trying to think of a story/blog/whatever I want to write, I listen to EDM... But NOT Dubstep, never dubstep.
Here are a few EDM favorites,
1. Faded, Alan Walker
2. Windfall, Fatrat
3. Seven, Tobu
2. Pressure
Believe it or not I love pressure, when I am given five minutes to write a poem I give it my all and don't over think it. But when I don't have a set date... I take up to a month to write a new blog.
Some of my best poems came when I took two weeks to write a poem collection for a friend. (Christmas was coming like a train... Ok more like a average sized car, you know what I'm trying to say.) That's why I highly recommend giving yourself a deadline, or following my path with one of these three pressure induced exercises.
1. Give yourself a minute to clear your mind, then give yourself 5 minutes to write a poem/story Etc.
2. Write your goal down, often it's easy to forget our goals because we don't put it right in front of our faces, well, not my face because everybody knows I remember everything, but YOUR faces.
3. I've tried this program for a while now, and while I don't want more competition, ya'll deserve a chance- http://writersweekly.com/writersweekly-coms-24-hour-short-story-contest
3. Tea
Ok, so you coffee lovers will scoff at this and wave your dainty hands while sipping upon that grundy garbage disposal juice flavored with sugar, but we tea lovers know where it's at!
Tea is older than coffee and has more flavors, but I'm not here to argue when the winner is obvious,
tea is relaxing, but for me? It's like a little man standing behind me with a knife saying "Ok, you've had your break..." Tea is ALWAYS on hand when I'm working and is the first thing that I go for on a cold (or hot, though that's a war between lemon-aid and ice-tea) day.
SOrry (so sorry, I'm a genious) for the wait, I know you guys just die when my blogs aren't written on time! PLEASE LIKE and share this blog with your friends, check out my other blogs at Y-time.
